3 Reasons Why You Should Use Stretch Wrappers On Your Pallets

Stretch wrappers are essentially a gigantic form of the plastic wrap that you might put over a bowl of salad in order to keep it fresh. Except, instead of being used on a bowl of salad, the plastic wrap is used on pallets in order to keep everything that is on the pallet in once place while the pallet is being transported. Using stretch wrappers on you pallets presents you with three very clear advantages over trying to transport pallets without the plastic wrap.

1. Saves Time

Stretch wrappers allow you to move your pallets more quickly. There are a number of different reasons for this. The first is that the plastic wrap keeps everything on the pallet when it is on a pallet jack. Without this wrapper, anything that was not tightly packed onto the pallet would fall off. Even if everything is packed on perfectly, you have to be very careful to not move the pallet too quickly or else your risk having items fall off and possibly be damaged.

Another reason why stretch wrappers save time is because they allow warehouse workers to never have to deal with picking up anything that has fallen off the pallet. Finally, the stretch wrappers are able to save time because they allow the people who are loading the pallet to not have to spend too much time packing everything tightly. The stretch wrapper will provide all of the support that anything loaded onto a pallet needs.

2. Saves Money

If you don't use stretch wrappers, then you are almost guaranteed to break one or two items every so often. When this happens, your company will lose the money that they spent making a product that will never be sold. In order to make sure that you don't waste your company's money, use stretch wrappers.

Finally, if you find that you are wrapping more than twenty pallets a day, you can invest in a pallet wrapping machine that will do the process for you. This tends to help you save a great deal of time and money, since you don't have to pay someone to perform the tedious task of wrapping pallets.
